Asplenium flaccidum - hanging spleenwort

Asplenium flaccidum - hanging spleenwort
Latin name:
Asplenium flaccidum
Common name:
Hanging Spleenwort (Makawe is maori name)

Asplenium Flaccidum is usually found growing from the trunks of trees and tree ferns in the bush. It’s limp, dull green, hanging fronds reach up to 1m in length and are quite thick and leathery to touch.
It prefers a damp, shady, well-drained situation but can be great as a hanging pot-plant provided a fibrous potting mix is used.
Beware of slugs, snails and aphids and treat if evident.
