Common name is the Giant maidenhair.

 New Zealand native fern

Rarely found in the natural NZ forest.

Beautiful fern with an unusual deep green frond with a shiny black stipe.

Likes moist conditions with slightly acidic soil and god drainage as well.

Plant spreads by rhiizomes and will clump up once it gets established.

Slow grower.

Fronds grow to 35-80 cm long.
