Common Name Hairy fern (Tuakura is maori name)

A creeping ground fern found throughout New Zealand. Has five angled finely divided fronds.
Called the hairy fern because of its unusually bristly stem.
Grows best in damp sheltered position and needs good drainage.
Native to New Zealand
