Bearss lime

Latin name:
Bearss Lime
Common name:
Bearss
Keywords:
Lime, bears, bearss

Originated from a seedling of the Tahitian Lime.

Has largish fruit, thin skinned, juicy but acidic.

Reasonably cold hardy Citrus (similar to Lemon in that regard) so will withstand frosts.

Plant in sunny position and best in area protected from strong winds.

We recommend fertilising with a Citrus fertiliser twice per year - early Spring and mid Summer also a spray of an insecticide and fungicide in mid Summer is a good idea.

Fruits most year round but June thru to August and Feb - March are best times.

N.B We only grow this plant in a 25 litre easy lift bag and it will have ben grown for 15-18 months and be 1.2-1.4m tall.
