Tahitian lime

Latin name:
tahitian Lime
Common name:
tahitian lime
Keywords:
tahitian, lime

Tahitian Lime will grow to 3m tall x 3m wide. Likes a sunny position and plant or put, if in a pot, in an area protected from strong winds.

Fertilise twice per year early Spring and then in Early Summer, also good idea to do a fungicide and insecticide spray in mid Spring.

Fruit is reasonably large and like all Limes is quite acidic - I think its the used in Corona beer as that slice that they put in the top of the bottle.

Tahitian lime is not quite as hardy as its related Bearss Lime (Bearss originated as a seedling from the Tahitian Lime) so in winter best to cover in frost cloth if hard frost is imminent.

N.B We only grow in 25 litre easy lift bags and tree will be approx 1.2-1.4m tall at time of sale.
