Cold hardy and tolerates a wide range of conditions. Clumps and spreads out from there with fronds up to 50 cm on mature plants.
Produces pups which are the new plantings - need to peg these down into the soil and keep watered before potting up into new independent plants.
Not a New Zealand native.
